Eco-Circle: Circular Economy as a tool to develop an innovative eco-inclusive social entrepreneurship educational pattern for youth

 In Europe

We are living in the most conscious and green-aware era of modern times. But still, climate change and the fight against are a major issue in the life of everyone, especially for the future generation and young people. With this in mind, embracing the circular economy as a way of life, and engaging in meaningful social entrepreneurship, is one of the keys to contributing to the fight against climate change for young people and youth leaders.

Taking this into account, Eco-Circle: “Circular Economy as a tool to develop an innovative eco-inclusive social entrepreneurship educational pattern for youth”, was created.

But what is Eco-Circle?

Eco-Circle: “Circular Economy as a tool to develop an innovative eco-inclusive social entrepreneurship educational pattern for youth” is a 2-year Erasmus+ Project developed and implemented by a diverse and cohesive international partnership representing 6 EU countries (France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Finland and Slovenia), joining together to create a new benchmark in circular economy exploitation learning, aiming to show young people and youth leaders how easily they can join the fight against climate change through social entrepreneurship by way of the circular economy.

What has Eco-Circle done?

Eco-Circle’s international partnership combined their complementary skillsets and capacities to produce 3 key Project Results during the development of the project:

  • Eco-Circle’s Competency Framework: Eco-Circle’s first project result is a collection of key competences to embrace and understand social entrepreneurship through the circular economy, developed and validated through rigorous research from the project’s partnership through young people and circular economy experts. The Framework offers young people and Youth Workers key insights into the skills, values and knowledge necessary to begin their green social entrepreneurship journey, all the way from local to international level.
  • Eco-Circle’s Online Course: Based on the key competences identified in the project’s Competency Framework, the partnership has developed a cutting-edge, engaging e-learning experience to engage young people and youth workers in a positive manner, capacity-building young people through digital learning and offering a fun perspective on the green learning experience.
  • Eco-App educational e-Game: A state of the art educational e-Game application developed to complement the project’s Online Course by offering complementary knowledge also based on the findings in the Competency Framework, while also capacity-building users and the audience on Sustainable Development Goals and how they connect to the themes of the project.

To promote these results and the content created by Eco-Circle, the partnership will realize multiplier events in each partner country, as well as promotion through social media and local and national promotional initiatives.
